Revelation 21

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth were passed··away; and the sea is no more.
And I, John, saw the holy city New Jerusalem coming··down from God out··of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out··of heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell··in··a··tabernacle with them, and they shall be His peoples, and God Himself shall be with them, their God.
And God shall wipe··away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor shall there be distress any more, for the first things have gone··away.
And He who sat on the throne said, Behold, I am making all things new. And He said to me, Write, for these words are true and faithful.
And He said to me, It is··done. I am the Alpha and the Omega1, the Beginning and the End. I will give to him who thirsts of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He who overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be God to him, and he shall be a son to Me.
But the frightened, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and harlot-mongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
And there came to me one of the seven angels, having the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues, and he spoke with me, saying, Come, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.
And he carried· me ·away in the spirit on a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, coming··down out··of heaven from God,
having the glory of God; and her light was like a stone most precious, as it were a jasper stone, shining like crystal2;
having a wall great and high, having twelve gates, and over the gates twelve angels, and names inscribed, which are those of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel;
on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates;
and the wall of the city having twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
And he who was speaking with me had a golden reed, to measure the city and her gates and her wall.
And the city is laid four-cornered, and her length is as··much··as the breadth; and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand stadia3; the length and the breadth and the height were equal.
And he measured her wall, a hundred forty-four cubits, the measure of a man4, which is of an angel.
And the structure of her wall was jasper, and the city was pure gold like pure glass.
And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprasus, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each of the gates was of one pearl; and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
And I saw no temple in her; for the Lord God Almighty is her temple, and the Lamb.
And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to shine5 in her, for the glory of God enlightened her, and her lamp is the Lamb.
And the nations of those who were saved shall walk in her light, and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honor into her.
And her gates shall not be shut by day; for there shall be no night there;
and they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into her.
And there shall not enter into her anything that defiles and that does abomination and a··lie, but6 they who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
