If he have nothing. That this signifies if nothing remains, namely, of the good and truth that have been taken away, is evident from the signification of "his (that is, the thief's) having nothing,"
as being that nothing remains of the truth and good that have been taken away. (That the "theft" denotes the good and truth taken away, see n. 9125; also that the same is signified by "a thief" as by
"theft," n. 9125, 9126.)
